Kate creates vibrant mixed media paintings with flowing forms. As an avid gardener and beach goer, her works are influenced by the beauty of nature and depict the tranquillity of her garden and beach life and her travels. Through her abstracts, she highlights the harmonious interplays of colours and shapes. With a keen awareness of how art impacts one's living space or work or business environment, Kate strives to create pieces that evoke a sense of calm and are uplifting. Kate loves to challenge herself and work in a range of mediums - inks, watercolours, acrylic, gouache, spray paint, pastels, and on a variety of surfaces - woodboard, canvas and watercolour paper. She enjoys spending her day in her studio with her dog, Baxter.
