Kate's work is an exploration of human form and the relationships we form with ourselves and others around us. The process of making work is the most crucial element for Kate, not predicting an outcome is what gives her the freedom to develop and progress her work and ideas through the physical act of making. This project explored through ink drawings and acrylic panting, starting with an in depth study of a form through life drawing sessions, then learning to strip back the image to a more minimal, abstract form.
