Set in a grid this hard edge, abstract work has been built up block after block, line after line. Tape is used to create the crisp lines and bright colours take your eyes on a journey across the canvas with new patterns and dynamics to see each time you take in the image.

Kate Galea, born in London, studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins University of the Arts London and The University of Reading. She and her wife moved to Sydney in 2011 and they now call Redfern home. Her current work aims to explore the beauty of human achievement and imperfection through the creation of vibrant abstract works using geometric shapes, playful structures and hard edges.
