Kate Gibbs studied fine art when she left school, at the University of Newcastle. An Arts and Education degree, journalism career and two children later and she is studying fine art again, now at the National Art School, Sydney. She is painting constantly in her Sydney studio. Kate’s paintings span figurative and abstract expressionist styles and reflect her love of nature, the ocean, and nostalgic themes around tradition, family, and moments of still.
