I have visited the Margaret Olley gallery at Tweed Regional Gallery several times, and am always carried away by the brilliance of her colours and the freedom with which she painted. I am doing a series “Remembering Margaret”, reflecting her simp,e compositions. I am using Western Australian wildflowers, such as the blue leschenaultia, bottlebrush, Geraldton wax and kangaroo paws of this painting, and my own dresser and vases. The brushwork is very free and flowing.
