I have always dabbled in art and had an eye for colour and form. Starting with photography, then moving on to watercolour and acrylic painting eventually lead to the discovery of epoxy resin as a medium. I instantly fell in love with the fluidity and unpredictability of it as an art form; it has a mind of it's own and nothing is imperfect!
The science of mixing colours and choosing those to reflect my moods, emotions and surroundings is my favourite part of painting. I always pour with meaning but don't always have a direction. Music is a beautiful part of my process and I often select particular songs or genres to help guide my pace and flow; pouring can almost become a little dance!
Resin has a beautiful quality in that it can be added to, layer by layer, revealing glimpses of the translucent or pearlescent depths below. No two pieces can ever be replicated, and all of my pieces are originals.
