'The Magic Within'

A conversation about matters of the spirit under the full moon with an open hearted friend lead me to the unconscious creation of a work that summed up our conversation beautifully.

I began with an abstract ink background and with no intention other than feeling my way through, allowed myself to "see what I see" and let the picture develope.

"She is gorgeous, she is magic, she is Me and she is You.
A being aware of a power within, just beginning to weave her magic...
As yet uncertain of the depths of her divinity...
Guided by joy and intuition...
Allowing the boundaries of possibility to slip for a moment in the wake of a fire of inner certainty that has no name... Perhaps we shall call it Joy."

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Kate creates her art in her Sunshine Coast paradise.
Her studio is nestled between gorgeous Australian beaches and hinterland mountains, surrounded by nature & birdsong.

She begins by creating emotional charcoals; using them as the base for vibrant, juicy and textured mixed media and oil compositions, humming with light, life and joy.
