In my personal journey, the past two years have marked a significant period of transformation. From being an independent woman, I've embraced the beautiful journey of motherhood, relocated to the other side of the world, and through marriage changed my name. This has led to me adjusting priorities to work around my husband and daughter, as well as my own needs. We are now a team and I feel I am responsible for keeping the balance between us.
I have a decade of experience in digital design, my last role was as Creative Director for a luxury department store in the Netherlands, de Bijenkorf. Since settling in Sydney, I've been channeling my energy into my illustration work.
I've immersed myself in exploring abstract shapes and textures. Each form represents my daughter, my husband, and myself; our collective journey as we strive to maintain balance and support for each other.
My new pieces are a self-portrait of the woman I have become, and this next chapter in my life. No longer an individual but one of a team constantly adapting to new spaces, holding different weights, and most importantly having all 3 of us in the picture at all times.
