When I visited Venice, I was immediately struck by the city's timeless beauty and romance. From the winding canals to the iconic architecture, everything about Venice seemed to exude a sense of old-world charm and elegance. As I explored the city, I was constantly inspired by the way the light played off the water, casting a warm and golden glow over the buildings and creating a sense of peace and stillness.
This experience was the inspiration for "Venice Reflections", my soft pastel on paper artwork capturing the iconic buildings and still waters of the city. I wanted to capture the beauty and tranquility of Venice, and convey the sense of peace and stillness that I felt when I was there.
Through my use of light, color, and texture, I have created a piece of art that not only celebrates the beauty of the city, but also transports the viewer to that special moment in time, reminding us of the transformative power of travel and the enduring beauty of art.
