I live beneath Mt Wellington in Hobart, and I marvel at the changing colours of the dolerite columns at different times of the day. I like to isolate parts of the landscape and take them out of their usual environment; this forces the viewer to focus on the subject and see it in a different light. The contrast of abstract and landscape is one I particularly enjoy working with.

I am a graphic designer by trade but painting is where my heart lies. I like to bring some of my design skills to my composition, and love exploring the contrast of the abstract and the real. I have particular interest in line and how it can intersect a landscape or background in interesting ways.
Many of my paintings are inspired by walks I have done in Tasmania - the Overland Track, Walls of Jerusalem and the Three Capes Track to name a few. We have incredible wilderness areas in Tasmania, and I love representing them on canvas.
My sunlit studio in Battery Point, Hobart is my happy place, and that is where you will find me in my spare time. Visitors welcome.
