Kunanyi (Mount Wellington) looms permanently over everyday life in Hobart; a huge, imposing constant throughout history. I wake to its changing colours every day, and often feel its light and shadows reflecting my mood, and perhaps that of the entire city. Energy, water and weatherseem to filter down through the foothills of the mountain into our urban lives.
This painting would look beautiful in a neutral coloured room, where the soft pink tones and the natural colours of the nountain columns can really shine.
