Artwork Description

Acrylic and collage on cotton duck canvas, framed in Victorian ash.

Joy lies in the excruciatingly challenging, wonderful simplicity of being mindfully present in this fleeting moment. Just this, just now.

The past has slipped beyond our influence; the future does not yet exist. Our power lies only in this present moment. Here, we can be fully alive. Here we can find joy.

'The Colour of Joy' series is a collection of vivid, multi-layered paintings, that offers inspiration for cultivating and celebrating moments of joy in our everyday lives. It explores the many nuanced ‘colours’ of joy in our lives - not as a fleeting moment of elation but as an intentional and mindful way of being and living in the world. From elation to gratitude, the series invites you to reflect: What does joy look like to you?
