Summertime #1

I was inspired by a summer’s day at the beach. I was watching the late afternoon sunlight on the water and the families playing in the waves, while the salt water was drying on my skin. It was an iconic Australian summer’s beach day and needed to be painted! I think it will bring sunshine and a beach holiday feel into your home. It is painted as a pair with “Summertime #2”, also available.
Comes framed in a lovely natural “beachy” floater frame, easily removed for varnishing, staining or painting by buyer.
Painted in professional Matisse acrylic paints, finished with a satin varnish to protect it from UV rays and dust.

Hi there! I have always been drawn to the ocean and love living on the beautiful Fleurieu Coast in South Australia. I attended Splashout Art School in Adelaide and continue to attend various classes and workshops both locally and interstate. I exhibit regularly in art exhibitions, galleries and cafes in Adelaide and on the south coast.
My loves are colour and texture, and I enjoy working in both acrylics and oils. I particularly like using thick paint, palette knives and experimenting with different colour tones. I paint in response to the vibrant natural environment and hope to inspire feelings of bright and lively optimism through my work.
