This work is a part of her Glow series, where she loves to capture the sun in different moments as it rapidly falls down behind the distant mountains. Each minute shows a new display or colour. Each painting is a few minutes apart, but glows in a different way.

The hyper-coloured rendition of the landscape is from a process Katherine follows. She decodes the colours to fabricate a new system of representation. The paintings may appear like a dream-like landscape - but there is a true authenticity to the painting. Painting the reality in front of your eyes is a powerful statement.
