Artwork Description

Dive into an abstract fantasy landscape that feels like a world springing forth from beneath the waves. Organic shapes and a sense of flow and movement, this piece was created to restore a sense of inner calm. This piece would pair well with a coastal decor theme! Lots of fascinating detail to explore.

The sides are painted in coordinating blue to match, and this is wired and ready to hang. Deep edge canvas protected with Liquitex Satin Varnish.

Signed on the front. Certificate of Authenticity also provided.

Artist Bio

I am an acrylic and mixed media emerging artist from the Logan QLD region. I began painting in 2024 after my experience visiting an Art Fair in Brisbane, which ignited something in me deep down. I had been a papercrafter for 12 years, but had lost that spark of creative joy, and I had a very strong emotional reaction to being surrounded by the amazing art at that Art Fair, which prompted me to go home that very day and begin my own painting journey. My love of colour, texture and pattern dominates my unique intuitive painting style, which I like to describe as fun, whimsical and maximalist. I find deep joy in the creative process, and find it extremely therapeutic. You will find particular patterns recurring in my works - I enjoy incorporating shapes like dots, circles, squiggles, triangles, dashes, and swirls of movement! I absolutely love to get hands-on with my mediums, utilising a lot of finger painting, adding texture with various objects and tools. I almost always have music playing while I create - I believe that different music affects the overall mood of my work, and I love that connection. I strongly believe that creativity is one of the most important things for our brains, especially in relation to good mental health. With my own mental and physical health challenges, painting has become a great source of comfort to me. The thing I love the most about the type of art I make is how completely unique it is - every little mark and brush stroke created leads to a different outcome every time, and I love the fact that even I can't replicate it ever the same again! I have always been creative, with a huge imagination and a love for the Arts in many forms - from painting to papercrafts, drama and music and a love for the written word. When I'm not painting, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading YA fiction, going to the gym, volunteering, and increasing my trivia knowledge by watching quiz shows and playing trivia games. I also love low-carb cooking and baking and prefer not to follow recipes - I would call myself more of an intuitive/experimental cook (much like my art). My hope is that my art will spread just a little joy and colour into your life!
