Katherine delights in creative experimentation.
Working also as a Landscape Architect and Public Artist, her work is particularly interested in a sense of place and time, and also about overlapping experiences and sensations.
She designed and installed a major Public Art commission for the City of Ballarat in 2019 at Cardigan Village, involving kinetic steel elements, murals, stonework and supporting landscaping. She was also shortlisted for Public Art projects at Wendouree West in 2018, and for Cranbourne Indoor Leisure Centre in 2017, with Honeyweather and Speight. In 2021, her work was also accepted for a Signal Box project in Maroondah City Council, and she is a finalist in the 2021 SBS Landscape Painting Prize and BiblioArt prize. In 2022, she is a Finalist in the Libris Artists Book Awards in Mackay.
In her private art practice, Katherine enjoys experimenting with many media, including ceramics, textiles, painting and drawing. To formalise her long standing artistic practice, Katherine is currently undertaking her Certificate IV in Visual Arts at Box Hill Institute.
