Water Lillies, the depth of colours and shades, the brush strokes, textures and thickness of the petals. The painting is captured like a picture of a pond the pears through the different layers of the water, from the sandy bottom reaching all the way to the top where the Lillies peacefully sit ripples of the water.

Artist Bio

Hi Art lovers,

Katherine is a local Sydney Abstract Artist who Absolutely loves colour, especially blues!
Although she studied in college, she is a self-taught artist who first started doing paintings for her own home, friends or family until a few years ago she was encouraged to share her passion with others! " So here I am," she says

"My biggest inspiration is the colour in the beautiful world around us, whether it be from the oceans we swim in, the flowers we buy, the food we eat or even the animals we love,
all with my little added Abstract Modern spin, a 'ugARTe' ( yes my surname has the word art in it, so it's meant to be!)
I have always loved interior design and the way a room, brings emotions and feelings of 'Yes this is home' to each individual"

Living in Sydney her whole life and having travelled the world, many times she has been inspired by the oceans our beautiful planet provides us. Katherine explains "When I was younger I would sketch constantly but just found creating with bright colours in mixed media/Acrylics, I am hoping to show that Art is fun, it can be what you want it to be. For me, bright colours means life, I hope you can see the life in my works which has given me true enjoyment. I hope my art brings you as much joy as it does me, my hubby, my friends and my family."

Katherine's latest works are focused more on Abstract Designs.
