Kathleen is a multi talented artist and works in a variety of mediums.
Her artwork ranges from collage from recycled magazines, painting cats in acrylic paint to making wearable arts outfits.
Each collage is painstakingly made from recycled magazines which are sliced into thin strips. She sorts them into colour and tone before attaching them to her base and then varnishing the end result. Each collage takes months to make from start to finish.
Since 2021 she has entered the Art Show Pakenham in the Wearable Art section and chooses a recycled material to create a stunning outfit. Her first outfit was made from bubble wrap and packing plastic, 2022 was chip packets and in 2023 she won first prize for her outfit decorated with flowers made from ALDI coffee pods. In 2024 she won the Yarram wearable art show with her amazing outfits.
In 2022 she had a solo exhibition of her cat series it was so popular that the gallery extended for another month. She was invited back to hold another solo exhibition of her collage work the next year.
In 2024 she had a solo exhibition of her collage at The Station Gallery Yarragon.
Due to the amount of time that each artwork takes Kathleen does not take commissions but she does show her artwork in group exhibitions at The Station Gallery Yarragon, Oak Hill Gallery at Mornington, Emerald Arts Society, Art Show Pakenham and the Emerald Art in the Park gallery located near the Puffing Billy train.
She sells her greeting cards that feature her cats and collages at market stall sites during the summertime as well as stocking them at The Station Gallery Yarragon, Oak Hill Gallery Mornington and Art in the Park at Emerald.
