Artwork Description

This is a painting of a cute Pangolin and a Blue-banded Swallowtail Butterfly.
The Pangolin is going extinct, and is currently the most trafficked animal in the world. I found this out on the 15th February, as that is the Pangolin awareness day. When I found out, I had to paint one.
After I had painted the Pangolin, I decided to add a butterfly, because I thought it would add to the cuteness and the colour. The Blue-banded Swallowtail is from the same area as a type of Pangolin.

This painting is not framed, however, if requested, I can add wire to the back so you can hang it that way, otherwise, you can hang it up with the canvas frame.

Artist Bio

Drawing on her rural upbringing, Kathleen brings the Australian experience to life, through oils (most of the time)

With a youth spent in the Australian countryside, Kathleen has always had an eye for the landscape and wildlife of Australia. Through a number of overseas artistic sabbaticals, she has grown as an artist, and now finds her work, inadvertently influenced by some of the great artists of the world. Now at home in her studio in Brisbane, Kathleen continues to draw inspiration from the natural landscape of south east Queensland, whilst also being influenced by the built environment around her.
