Watercolour Artist creating works to express the beauty and wonder I see in Garden Blooms, Still Life and Farm Life in South Gippsland, Australia. We moved to the country 10 years ago, renovated an 1900s farmhouse room by room, re-established its gardens and set about starting the next chapter of our lives. Art had already found me, but it wasn't until the renovations were done that painting in watercolour became my obsession. Thick rich pigments, granulation, watery mixes and colours so translucent and nuanced I was mesmerized. I create to express my love of nature, the fine details I see when I slow down to really look, the colours dappled in a shadow, the edges of light and dark. In my studio there is always a sketchbook of ideas waiting to be painted - hopefully I can share some of those pieces with you.
