A whimsical collection of cups of tea and coffees; black tea with milk arrowroot biscuits, an espresso with a lovely crema, regular white tea in fancy teacup and a heart topped latte with colourful macarons sitting on a checkered table cloth. Ink line drawings on 300gsm 100% cotton watercolour paper were firstly painted with watercolour paint then some extra white highlights were added with posca pen. These were then stuck to a cloth which was already stuck to a wooden board giving the overall effect of cups of tea and coffee on a blue checkered table cloth. Comes framed in a sturdy metal gold plated frame with anti-glare glass.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, I have always loved drawing and art. Art has always been something I have loved and come back to as a hobby as time and inspiration arose. I am mostly a self-taught artist and only started using the watercolour medium late 2016. Before this I mainly used graphite and coloured pencils for basic drawings. Mid 2017 I completed a short watercolour botanical art course that improved my ability and understanding of the medium and has been the stepping stone to my growth as an artist. I joined the Hobsons Bay Arts Society mid 2018 after participating in the 5 x 7 art prize and have really enjoyed and learnt a lot through workshops and demonstrations held by the society. Being a member of the society has also opened up new mediums to me, after doing a portrait course I now love using pastels and charcoal too. My subject matter is usually nature based as I am constantly inspired by the world around me. Please contact me if you would like to make any suggestions requests or commission a work. Thank you!
