Hi,
I am and abstract painter from Ballarat in regional Victoria. Painting is one of the greatest joys in my life, where I feel immersed in the process and flow with the brush strokes.
The best part of the process however is hearing your interpretation of the works, and what you feel and see within the colours and lines. I will forever adore seeing my artworks brightening and hopefully inspiring the walls and homes in which they hang.
Though represented in an abstract form I am directly inspired by the light and natural beauty of the landscape around me. The best representation of my inner self and emotions that cannot be divulged are best expunged through the layering and rift between perfection and chaos.
I find that the process of my artworks follows the careful laying down of layers of shapes perfectly overlapping and peeking through in transparency. Once this perfection has been achieved the pursuit of chaos takes over and I feel finally free to wield wild brush strokes and colour that contrast from the careful hours of prior work.
Once together however the unison of the two is where I find that I have finally expressed the longing, torment and passion that coexists with peace and comfort.

Rarely is there more than an idea of colour, or stormy cloud or golden light fracturing through trees in my minds eye when I first lay paint on my canvas. But always the desperate need to make imagery of the fire within me and constant desperation to create that never leaves me, driving me to paint at every spare moment.
Finally creating artworks has been like viewing oneself in the mirror and recognising the person there for the first time.
