This is the scene from Greenmount Heads, QLD looking north towards the distant Surfers Paradise skyline. It was one of those picture-perfect days—brilliant sun, turquoise water, small but spirited waves crashing on to the rocks and up to the beach. The light and tide were constantly changing, motivating me to try different ways to capture the dynamics of the scene. This little painting is #3, one of four in a series.

About Me: Capturing Nature’s Beauty Through Paint
Thank you for taking the time to explore my artwork. My journey as a painter has been a gradual revelation, now intertwining with your own unique experience as you view them.
Reflections and Colors:
The act of painting is a dance of reflection and expression. Standing before the canvas, I think every painter tries to connect with a deeper sense of the subject, exploring what message to convey. What do my eyes see, what do I feel, what memories return? Impressions translate into the colors, shapes, media and techniques chosen. The composition emerges. There’s such magic in the way paint behaves—blending, bleeding, and whispering secrets to “try this color over here!” Every stroke surprises me, hopefully in a good way!
Nature’s Palette:
Nature is my muse. The vibrant colors of Gold Coast's Coral Sea, beaches and hinterlands and the Rocky Mountains call to me most. Water, rocks, trees and plants — the y all inspire me.
The journey of every painter is unique, tied to connections between the artist and those experiencing their work. I'd love to hear about your reactions about a particular artwork!
Thanks for stopping by.
