Kathy Delanty is an Australian realist artist with over 40 years experience whose focus is mainly portraiture.
Kathy studied under Korean artist, Rah, who taught her the method of the masters with photo like images, in addition to the method of ‘oil on silk’ which results in a brilliant ‘life like’ images.
Kathy would possibly be one of the few, if not the only, artists in Australia to perfect this method.
She studied under her mother, renowned Australian portrait and landscape artist, Pat Delanty, whose art was exhibited at the Tate Gallery London, USA and Japan, featuring the ‘oil on silk’ method.
Kathy’s art has been exhibited at ‘The Collins Street Gallery’, Melbourne, ‘Smart Artz Gallery’, South Melbourne.
​Since relocating to the Mornington Peninsula, Kathy has exhibited at local galleries with works of the local scenery, locals and nudes.
