Horse & carts probably arrived at this old weatherboard farmhouse originally, not far off the main road in the south west of WA. I love to see the old buildings still defying the passing of time and to try to imagine what life for the farmers was like early in the last century . The tin roof, one chimney, sagging verandah make a scene to capture in paint and on this sunny morning in spring the paddocks looked so fresh and bright. I have cropped this painting to 38 x 28cm which seemed the best to me, for this photo but it is still 38 X 38 square if preferred , as seen in edges picture.
