On a Clear Day- Fitzroy Falls

It was a beautiful clear autumn day when I visited Fitzroy Falls not far from where I live. After so much rain this year the falls were running beautifully and I could feel the water mist on my face as it sprayed up from the valley below.
I took several shots and could hardly wait to get back to my studio to put paint to paper. I knew instantly that this work would be created in watercolour.

I am an artist living on the south coast of NSW. I paint in oils, acrylics, and watercolour and am inspired by my love of nature and the ocean close to where I live between the mountains and the sea. Basically self taught I have been interested in art my whole life.
I have exhibited in many group and solo exhibitions over my 40 plus years of making art and have been twice a finalist in the James Kiwi watercolour prize and the Meroogal Women’s art prize
It has been a passion to take groups painting in Europe since 2016
