Artwork Description

The feathers are symbolic of surrender. A white flag/feather is used to symbolise acceptance of what will be. The feathers reflect the artist surrendering to aging and the varied colours of the feathers suggest that she has not given up the fight yet. The brightly coloured background also suggests that she is fighting against what comes with ageing and her refusal to fade into the background. There are some positives that come with wisdom.
