Mona Vale

Earlier this year I completed the challenge I set myself of painting all the beaches along the Northern Beaches Sydney. From Palm Beach down to Shelly.

The body of works is called “18 Beaches”

This is a abstract view of Mona Vale ocean pool and beach.

I like to work large scale and paint using a broad knife which I call my palette knife. It allows me to be more expressive and not overly detailed.

I love being outdoors and taking in my surroundings. I like to take people on a journey with me through my paintings.

I live next to the ocean, which features greatly in my work. I hope my energy and love for where I live comes across in my paintings.

The Northern beaches is certainly a beautiful place to be. I’m never short of painting inspiration.
