Artwork Description

This intimate portrait captures the quiet intensity and intelligence of a husky, focusing on expression rather than environment. Influenced by contemporary realism and animal portraiture the work uses a dark, minimal background to draw attention to the eyes and fine textural details, creating a calm yet powerful presence. I am a Melbourne-based artist working across oil, acrylic, pencil and ceramics, with my work inspired by travel and lived experience.
I graduated from RMIT University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Visual Art. Having worked as a PSO for many years, art provides a meaningful creative outlet and space for expression. All paintings are framed and ready to hang, with oil works dried for a year and varnished to ensure durability and preservation.
