My intention is to create paintings that display emotion in the eyes of the subject. My style is a take on realistic and detail appearance but still enjoy seeing slight roughness in the painting. I like leaving unfinished brush strokes and layers of paint to give the painting some life and freshness.
I search for animals carefully, selecting a particular pose which speaks to me, evoking a feeling or connection striving to capture and recreate a fleeting moment.
The presence I'd like to convey is harnessing the emotion of these strong, powerful, and wild creatures, keeping the viewer engaged.
