Katrina is a young painter from Tjukurla. Katrina grew up in Tjukurla where she learned the traditional knowledge of her culture and her land from her family, who settled in Tjukurla when it was established as an outstation of Docker River in the mid 1980's. Katrina comes from a strong lineage of painters. Her grandmother, the late Mrs N. Giles, was one of Tjarlirli Art's most celebrated painters, and she has passed down much of her skill and knowledge to Katrina.
