"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” —Mark Twain. I was studying landscape design in Hong Kong. In 2017, I achieved my dream to be a early childhood educator and finished my diploma in early childhood education and care in Sydney. After a year working with children, I am thinking WHAT I really want to be. I liked creating things since I was young. I made clothes for my Barbie. I made my own kimono. In year 3, I could spend 9 hours continually drawing a Christmas card for art homework. I lay on the floor in my tiny home in Hong Kong and painted with my gouache. In high school, I studied economics, principles of accounts, mathematics and statistics and travel and tourism. However, what I remember is I painted exactly the same as " The Old Guitarist, Picasso " and a classmate thought my artwork is the real masterpiece. I knew what I LOVED to do, LOVED to be, but I also knew I couldn't be a painter to survive in Hong Kong. I traveled to Melbourne and started to see the outside world. I enjoyed to live by myself and found a normal office job later in Sydney. Through this 26 years, I think it is the time to pursue what I really LOVE - painting. It is time to follow my passion. Cheers!! Hope you like my story. Thank you for all the support! Oh, last but not the least, I will be delighted if you are able to follow me in Bluethumb and Instagram: squarewallart and say hi to me. Thank you. Love, Kat
