Hi! I’m KT, a mother, an artist, an embracer of life, and I love making art.
One of my favourite artists often says, ‘You do you!’, so I try to keep that in mind when painting. No rules, no restrictions. It’s amazing how free that can make you when creating something new. Truth be told, we were all born to create in some way or other, this way just suits me best. How lucky to find such joy in splashing paint about and although not all my art makes it here, I never think of it as a failure, just the beginning of something new.
An artist I love once said, ‘Make art. Lots of art. That’s how you become an artist.’ I find ‘making lots of art’ soothing and enjoy every aspect of the process, the successes and failures.
I have Welsh heritage (my maiden name is Wales 😉) and the Welsh word ‘cwtch’, loosely translated because there is no one word in the English language to cover it, means to love with all your heart or to be overcome with love beyond expression. This is what I want for you when you view my art. To put my art on your wall with intention, having it there to make a visual contribution to your day, that’s what I love about this journey. How precious that is to me.
