Part of a series of artworks. The repeating motif of the night sky has facilitated an exploration of colour value. Large shapes of colour merge together in darkness, lines are blurred and details are lost. In this painting the trees are silhouetted by moonlight and small brushstrokes are barely recognisable as distant roofs reflecting the moonlight.

Violet night sky with crescent moon and Venus across the top third of the board. In the middle ground are distant house lights seen across a moonlit field . In the foreground a fire pit glows with warmth and reflects a beautiful russet colour onto the outstretched legs of two figures cropped out of the painting.

Dark night sky fills the upper third of the canvas. a central shape of warm lights with and the foreground merges with more interesting shadowy shapes.

Large gum trees fill the upper half of the canvas with a pathway of the starry night seen through the upper middle of the picture. In the lower part of the canvas the story unfolds showing a interior light on in a parked caravan with the towing vehicle parked nearby. The foreground is filled with long shadows and a lighter value ground.

Sunny yellow green grass at the top left of the painting leading down through the middle of the painting dividing a terracotta pot plant of geranium flowers on the left side sitting atop a brick wall in part sunshine part shade. To the right of the painting is part of a Fiddle Leaf Fig plant in sunshine and a sunlit pot.
