Original Artwork's Description

Geometric Abstraction, but adding a third dimension by playing with rounded shapes. The work is intended to be playful. It is based on “Square peg, round hole”, but I used a round “peg” in the round hole in a round ball. They still don’t always work. The title, a misspelling of perfection and a mixture of of two and three dimensional objects, demonstrates the “Fiction” theme. The black “drip” in the bottom left corner is another piece of whimsy.

Artist Bio

Hi thanks for taking the time to check out my profile.

Throughout my working life I have enjoyed painting as a hobby, but since retiring over ten years ago I am able to focus on it.

I have been fortunate to receive tuition from two well recognised artists. Ben Smith (2 years) and Jessica Ashton (1 year)both previous Archibald finalists and tutors with Julian Ashton Academy in Sydney and I am proud to say they have both had had a huge affect on my work.

I now live on Gold Coast and Upper North Shore, Sydney and enjoy memberships with art groups in both places. In Sydney I am a member of Beaches Art Collective and in Queensland I’m a member of Royal Queensland Art Society, Broadbeach. I exhibit at both galleries, a portfolio of previous work can also be found on Instagram #keith.nuke.
