Artwork Description

Boy fishing at Broadbeach, Gold Coast. I love the out of season beautiful beaches in Queensland, often deserted! The seagulls making it clear who this beach belongs to and the paddling in the foreground makes it clear we are intruding in his domain.

Hi thanks for taking the time to check out my profile.

Throughout my working life I have enjoyed painting as a hobby, but since retiring over ten years ago I am able to focus on it.

I have been fortunate to receive tuition from two well recognised artists. Ben Smith (2 years) and Jessica Ashton (1 year)both previous Archibald finalists and tutors with Julian Ashton Academy in Sydney and I am proud to say they have both had had a huge affect on my work.

I now live on Gold Coast and Upper North Shore, Sydney and enjoy memberships with art groups in both places. In Sydney I am a member of Beaches Art Collective and in Queensland I’m a member of Royal Queensland Art Society, Broadbeach.
