Artwork Description

Tranquil patch of paradise. Tallebudgera Creek, looking upstream (west). The dappled sunlight and calm creek bely the fact that only a couple of months earlier Cyclone Alfred had ripped through creating 3 metre flood which tore down many trees. On the right, out of shot, many trees still lie horizontal. Tallebudgera Creek flows into Currumbin River at Southern end of Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Artist Bio

Hi thanks for taking the time to check out my profile.

Throughout my working life I have enjoyed painting as a hobby, but since retiring over ten years ago I am able to focus on it.

I have been fortunate to receive tuition from two well recognised artists. Ben Smith (2 years) and Jessica Ashton (1 year)both previous Archibald finalists and tutors with Julian Ashton Academy in Sydney and I am proud to say they have both had had a huge affect on my work.

I now live on Gold Coast and Upper North Shore, Sydney and enjoy memberships with art groups in both places. In Sydney I am a member of Beaches Art Collective and in Queensland I’m a member of Royal Queensland Art Society, Broadbeach. I exhibit at both galleries, a portfolio of previous work can also be found on Instagram #keith.nuke.
