"Afterburn" captures a hillside in the aftermath of a scrub fire. The landscape, once dense with verdant brush, now reveals a stark tableau of charred earth. The painting is awash with muted hues of gray, black, and brown, evoking the smoldering remains of the fire. The sky above is filled with remnant smoke creating a poignant reflection on destruction and regeneration typical of the Australian bush.
The painting has no external frame . However, all sides have been painted to establish a seamless interface with any wall. The photos include some examples of a possible framing option if required.
