Artist Bio

Kellie Howard was born in Sydney and is a passionate photographer with a deep affection for the arts, the natural environment and the empowerment of women. As a child Kellie would regularly disappear into a world of sketching people and animals, but it would be the gift of an Instamatic camera at the age of 11 that would change the direction of her life forever. For several years Kellie embraced her expressive side and explored different facets of the creative arts. She got involved with local theatre, sang lead vocals in several bands and participated in painting classes (where she was also invited to teach). Furthering her love of the arts, Kellie then completed a design course with the School of Colour and Design in Sydney and eventually enrolled with her local college to learn the fundamentals of the SLR camera. Having returned to her first love of the camera, Kellie immersed herself in portraiture - mostly shooting weddings, children and her very patient pooch ‘Harley’! Today you'll either find Kellie deep in nature photographing the incredible flora and fauna on the NSW mid north coast, or in her Hallidays Point studio designing and creating stylised experiences for people and or their pets.
