Over the past 2 years, I have reignited my passion for art and started drawing again as a hobby. I focused on portraits and animals as subjects, challenging myself with new artistic endeavours.
In 2023, I participated in the 41st Annual Great Lakes Art Exhibition and submitted two graphite and charcoal drawings. To my surprise, I was awarded first prize for my drawing titled "The Scream." Moreover, during the opening night, I sold another drawing of an elephant.
The positive feedback I received from fellow artists and the community at the art exhibition boosted my confidence. Encouraged by this, I recently ventured into painting using acrylics. Initially, I painted a lion, and I have been expanding to include other animals, starting with owls. My ultimate goal is to incorporate landscapes, portraits and still life into my artistic portfolio.
Art is my absolute passion. The process of creating artwork transports me to a different world. I draw inspiration from visiting local galleries, discovering new artists and artwork, and engaging with the artistic community both in person and through social media.
While I currently balance my art practice with full-time work, family, and other commitments, I thoroughly enjoy the process.
I invite you to follow my art journey as I continue to explore and develop as an artist. Perhaps one day, I can fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a full-time artist.
