Artwork Description

This was an image I woke up with in my mind one afternoon after a late afternoon shuteye which I have to add is not a normal afternoon for me. I had the most haunting dream surrounded by faceless people with a overwhelming feeling I had of judgment and hopelessness that no matter how hard I worked how well the fruits of my labour was turned out and finished I was doomed to fail and not taken seriously despite all. That feeling so powerful still clear as it was during the dream this crazy hazy painting come together in an amazingly short time that my partner at the time was just stunned watching me. No drawing or plan even the selection of colours was just not how I normally work. So then her is the faceless crowd.

Artist Bio

I began my career in tattooing by producing Tattoo Flash Art sheets for a local tattoo studio, whilst I completed my Fine Arts Degree at South Australian School of Art. I graduated with honors in 1996, and commenced my tattoo apprenticeship in 1992. During my 4 years of university and 7 years of service at my first studio, I have worked alongside several talented artists in the tattooing and fine arts communities, and I’ve since owned and operated several shops throughout Australia. after 20 years as a tattoo artist and painter I have found specializing in Abstract impressionist/modern contemporary Drawing and Painting my main focus in the arts. I continuously drawing inspiration from the other artists I get to work with, from all over the world. I constantly paint in my home studio for now until i find new studio and gallery space after closing my gallery/studio in Thomastown Vic just over a year ago.
I'm in the process of launching my new fashion label which includes a selection of my paintings in both male and female clothing and apparel that I hope to launch nationally late 2021 and early 2022.
My aim is to reach a demographic not usually reached and market my art in a hole new market, appreciating fine arts that wouldn't normally in a hole new product and platform for my art to be appreciated.
