Artwork Description

'Low Bush' refers to the valleys in the bush that are near the artist's home. The bush in this area has a walking trail the wanders through the depressions in the landscape. These valleys often flood during rainstorms and become over flowing with life with flowers springing up and multitudes of birds coming to bath. Early evenings also give pink and orange colour to the sky and highlight the saturation of the the green foliage.
This painting would be perfect for anyone who has an appreciation for the bush and the pleasures of the wild. It's soft colours make it a wonderful subtle pop of colour to your home or workplace. The painting captures the enjoyment and peace found in nature and this peaceful feeling is transferred into the space it is hung.

Artist Bio

Kelsey is a young, autistic artist who is currently studying a Masters in Visual Art. They are interested in the different ways people can see the world, and in capturing their own unique experience arising from the combination of their autism and periods of psychosis. Kelsey has been subject to a variety of diagnoses including schizotypal, schizophrenia, and schizo-affective as a teenager and young adult. The current consensus is that Kelsey has a particularly 'vivid inner landscape'. They have run with this semi tongue-in-cheek assessment and their art is now often maps of this inner landscape as well as the experience and understanding of particular places in time and space.
Kelsey is open to commissions of these maps for your own times and places.
