Venus Walk

'Venus Walk' comes from walking the streets at night with the light of Venus in the sky. It is a map of the reserves, parks, and streets that look and feel very different very late at night. The emptiness is not still but full of bats, bugs, and birds as well as the movement of plants. This painting is bright, fun, and colourful and would be the perfect addition to your home or to brighten up your workplace. The cheerful, playful shapes would also work well in child's bedroom or the room of someone young at heart!

Kelsey is a young, autistic artist who is currently studying a Masters in Visual Art. They are interested in the different ways people can see the world, and in capturing their own unique experience arising from the combination of their autism and periods of psychosis. Kelsey has been subject to a variety of diagnoses including schizotypal, schizophrenia, and schizo-affective as a teenager and young adult. The current consensus is that Kelsey has a particularly 'vivid inner landscape'. They have run with this semi tongue-in-cheek assessment and their art is now often maps of this inner landscape as well as the experience and understanding of particular places in time and space.
Kelsey is open to commissions of these maps for your own times and places.
