Artwork Description

I am drawn to the warm coloured sand and the sandstone rocks contrasting with the cool shadows and tourquise water. The warmth of the sand invites me to linger a while. As I sit, two seagulls come to land in the shallows, In that pause, I feel a sense of calm settle within me.
Painting becomes my way of holding onto that stillness—of returning to it—and offering that same sense of quiet reflection to others. Weather shaped rocks, symbols of strength, remain recurring motifs in my artwork.

In stillness, I paint from what I sense—the gentle give of sand, the hush of salty air, and a lone seagull resting beside worn rocks. Using oils, I seek to hold that quiet moment, where everything feels paused and the shoreline breathes in calm, unspoken rhythm.
