Ombre Forever

This collage is made up of triangles, arranged to form a gradient. It is one of my favourite patterns, used by quilters to highlight the colour dynamics of fabric. Here I've utilised this pattern to bring out the beauty of printed magazines, stunning even when cut up and decontextualised in this abstract geometric artwork.
This large piece is one of three, a triptych in the making. Each part of the triptych showcase colour and pattern, as well as featuring unique details from a range of printed media. You will enjoy this collage when looking at it close up or from farther away.

I am a multi media artist born in Haifa. I paint, draw, and make abstract paper collages from hand-cut magazines. I like abstracts: geometric patterns, colour transitions and chaotic arrangements. This extends to my love for painting 'backgrounds', which have become nebula paintings. I like sparkles, kitsch, pretty scenes and figures but especially when accompanied by jarring detail. This is self reflexive romantic projection. When collaging, I love the way I can never run out of material to cut up, with lots of luscious detail and random words. This kind of cut-and-paste is always giving me new ideas. The other side of the piece of paper is often just perfect. My gallery reflects a fixation with maximalism, patterns , and colour transitions, whether in acrylic or in paper mosaic, or both.
