The spectrum for this windmill patterned work was influenced by the colour of Pantone for 2016 (I didn't realize there was such consensus, it was inspiring).
Working with magazines offers such richness of colour and texture, context and subtext. You can look at these pieces for hours and still discover new elements. This particular work has an immaculate finish, but it is imperfect. The little accidents and incongruities in the pattern make it organic and evocative of the real visual experience, rather than the digital, simulated kind.
