This paper collage is part of a new series of abstract art on painted canvas. This collage includes tiny specks of holographic paper that sparkles as you move around the work. It is textured and layered with minute paper shards the colour of stone and glass, arranged like terrazzo flooring. I'm fascinated by stone, crystals and gems, and the unique shapes and arrangements they find themselves in. Here they are miniature, definitely the tiniest mosaic I've ever made.
I've taken photos of the work in various light modes and attempted to capture the holographic sparkle but to see its full effect, you'll have to buy it and try it for yourself.
