Native Daisy is the eleventh penultimate instalment in my mini series "Studio garden". Around my studio, I have ground cover that illuminates the Daisy Flowers surrounding the area. Most people could easily walk by and not notice these stunning flowers. It seems to blend into the background having a non-intrusive presence. I wanted to capture its essence in this painting, clearly visible in the foreground along with some fading flowers in the background. I used yellow ochre to represent the Daisy Natives close connection to Mother Nature. I picked and painted these flowers as a reminder to look a little more closely at the beauty of nature that is all around us.
