Pears are my go-to for painting practice. Yes, they have a simple form, yet they are complex when I stop and look closely. I love the subtle colours bouncing off the pear onto the bench.
I enjoy the challenge of capturing the essence of a subject by balancing traditional drawing and painting techniques with gestural marks. Through daily painting practice, my attention is focused on the present moment; creating paintings that seek to bring awareness to the inherent value of everyday objects.
