I am a self-taught Melbourne based artist that has a love and appreciation of art in any form.
For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for drawing and painting. I like to work in acrylic, ink and graphite on fine art papers and canvas.
My art is about how the subject is seen, not what the subject is. Art has been both a healing and meditative journey that has allowed me to express myself freely. My art has evolved over the years and I have experimented with many styles and mediums. I am drawn to and influenced by the female form and inspired by minimalism and simplicity. I am currently experimenting with abstract continual line drawings inspired by the female body.
I believe each piece of art has a story to be told by its creator. My art has been somewhat personal up to this point of my life. I am now retired with a grown family so I have the time to pursue this passion and explore the different directions it takes me in. I now feel a need to share my stories because art is eternal, it has no rules and is therefore endless.
